About me

I am a Research Staff Member at IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Center, Yorktown Heights (NY). Prior to joining IBM Q, I was a Research Scientist at the Quantum Computing Research group at Intel Labs (Oregon, USA). I hold a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Physics from the University of Tabriz (Iran), where I did research under the supervision of Prof. Mohammad Ali Jafarizadeh. In November 2008, I graduated with a Ph.D. in Physics under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ralf Schützhold at the Institute of Theoretical Physics, Dresden University of Technology (Germany). In January 2009, I moved to the Max Planck Institute for the Physics of Complex Systems to work with Prof. Dr. Roderich Moessner. I was a Research Associate at Harvard University from September 2010 to August 2015, where I was a member of the Aspuru-Guzik Research Group until March 2015.
